  • What is Ampre Local?

    Ampre Local is a program designed for local merchants that rewards customers when they shop at your store using specific loyalty credit or debit cards. Purchases are handled the same as any other debit or credit card transaction, and there are no additional steps or special training required for your staff. Simply register your business online and create or manage your offers.

  • How does it help my business?

    Ampre Local can help you increase business by inviting/targeting customers from a large loyalty program base to shop at your store more frequently and spend more with you. You have access to a dashboard within your account to analyze the results of your offers, enabling you to more effectively and profitably manage your customer relationships.

  • How does it work?

    When a merchant publishes an offer (for example 10% off) the credit or debit card holder will realize that offer in the form of points or cash back, rather than a discount at the time of the purchase. You can create an account and customized your offers online. There is no limit to the number of offers you can create and you can tailor your offers to target specific customer segments. You have access to control all offers and manage to your budget.

  • What does it cost?

    Ampre Local is priced strictly on a pay for performance basis. Aside from the cash value of your offers themselves, your only additional cost is 6% of each qualifying transaction. There are no set-up fees, minimums or hidden charges. That’s it! Every month you simply pay the cash value of your offers plus a marketing fee of 6% of the amount of the transaction. We set up all invoicing with a credit card from the merchant and charge the card monthly for the appropriate amount. Remember, you are only charged if you have qualifying transactions.

  • Who can earn Ampre Local rewards?

    Eligible customers must be members of a participating bank or credit union’s loyalty program or other card based loyalty program. They must shop with a credit or debit card tied to the loyalty program to earn rewards.

  • Is there an Ampre Local loyalty card?

    No. No special cards, coupons or discount codes are needed. Your customers pay with a credit or debit card tied to their bank/credit union’s loyalty program or other card based program and earn cash back or bonus points when they make a qualifying purchase.

  • What do I have to do at the point of sale to make sure my customers get their rewards?

    Nothing! As long as your customer shops with the participating loyalty program card, they will automatically be credited with the rewards they earn.

  • Who sets up my Ampre Local offers?

    You do! The minimum requirement is that every merchant must have at least one offer outstanding at all times and the offer must be available to every eligible customer on every qualified purchase made with their participating loyalty program card.

  • Can I change my offers or add new ones?

    Your everyday offer can change every 90 days; however, you can add and change other offers at any time.

  • Can I have more than one offer outstanding at a time?

    Yes! There is no limit to the number of offers you may have outstanding.

  • Can I limit the total rewards for each sale?

    Yes! When you set your everyday offer you also will set a cap or maximum that you want to pay on a single transaction. For example, if a customer qualifies for multiple offers totaling 30%and your cap is 20%, the total reward (cap) on that sale will be 20%.

  • How do customers learn about Ampre Local?

    The participating banks, credit unions and other programs that utilize the Ampre loyalty program, market and promote the program and offers to its cardholders through a combination of digital and print marketing efforts to create awareness.

  • How do customers learn about my offers?

    Customers can visit their loyalty program’s website to learn about the Ampre Local program, find participating merchants and to view available offers.

  • How do I know which customers earned rewards through Ampre Local?

    The Ampre Local account dashboard gives you visibility into every purchase by every customer and the reward(s) they qualified for. You will be able to identify your most valuable customers, identify trends and evaluate your marketing programs.
